Rock climbing is an activity that has been becoming more popular as time passes. It has been around a long time though just like our local crag.
Just along the road or canal is Auchinstarry Marina which is next to the quarry.

Auchinstarry quarry is a good location for beginners as it has a range of lower level grades and a car park right at the base of the crag. It does however have a collection of hard grades too for the seasoned trad climber.
